Affectionately called "Kite Henge" by regular fliers, Chambers Meadows is one of the best Northwest USA parks for kite flying with an incredible amount of space (22+ acres), prevailing winds off the water, objects for quad kite play, and clean restrooms, as well as enough local eateries and conveniences to satisfy pretty much anyone, while Tacoma hotels and motels are all within 7-15 miles of the field.

Sea-Tac (SEA) International Airport - 42 minutes from field (29.2 miles)
Local Transportation
You can take the Pierce Transit bus line to Chambers Creek park via Route 53-University Place. The nearest bus stop for the park can be found at the intersection of Cirque Drive and Grandview Drive, across from Cirque Plaza. Bus fare info can be found here.
For taxi service, the local Yellow Cab can be reached at (253) 472-3303, and they do accept Visa/MC.
